3Cut and 4Cut Mowing Technology

DOLMAR lawn mowers and D-Trac lawn tractors are distinguished by their outstanding mowing technology. When using 3Cut or 4Cut, mowing the lawn is far more than simply cutting the grass. Garden work could hardly be more varied using just a single piece of equipment. This not only saves work, but also hard cash.
See for yourself what sets equipment fitted with 3Cut or 4Cut mowing technology apart from the rest:

1. Cuttings are Ejected (3Cut / 4Cut)

Very convenient: The lawn mower or the tractor ejects the cut grass immediately. On lawn mowers, the rear flap directs the cut grass directly behind the mower - the optional deflector cover in the case of lawn tractors does the same job. This method is particularly effective when dealing with very long, damp grass.

2. Collecting Cuttings (3Cut / 4Cut)

This is the usual method when mowing regularly: A grass bag prevents the grass cuttings from falling to the ground. Up to 75 l in the case of lawn mowers and up to 300 l if using a tractor can be disposed of in the compost heap at a time.

3. Collecting Leaves (3Cut / 4Cut)

Fallen leaves are easily picked off of the lawn by DOLMAR mowers – without the bother of having to bend down or use a rake. Simply move over the fallen leaves with the blade running and they are transferred to the grass collection bag for disposal.

4. Mulching (4Cut)

The perfect way to mow: When mulching, the grass cuttings are repeatedly cut and chopped up by the blade until they remain lying between the stalks of grass. There, the nutrients in the grass cuttings act as a natural green fertilizer, which also protects the surface from the sun and from evaporation, as well as improving the capacity of the lawn to retain water.

Lawn mowers require an optional mulch plug, the D-Trac lawn tractors are converted with the optional mulch kit, consisting of mulching blade and mulch plug.
